Well, I'm a Baha'i, so I don't necessarily go to "church", but I do go to religious gatherings. Every nineteen days we have what is called "feast". This marks the new Baha'i month and we go for a devotional, readings regarding the month, and consultation. I go because I want to. My mother doesn't make me or anything, in fact, when she's feeling lethargic, I encourage her to go. Besides Feast, there are occaisional devotionals and weekly Ruhi classes. My mom and I go to a book 3 Ruhi class on Sunday morning, which is basically a book that you study in order to understand the importance of teaching properly.
Unlike many people, I love that my religion plays a large role in my life. I believe that it's important to practice what you believe in, whatever it may be. To be honest, if it was really early in the morning, I would go much less because I enjoy my sleep. I think that's a main reason that some people don't go to religious events, because the time is too inconvinient for them.
