Veteran's Day is a time to appreciate and acknowledge all those who have ever risked their lives for our country. Although we should contemplate this everyday, it is a special day to really reflect on this thought and appreiate them all. There are thousands of troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other nations right now, so we must remember to ponder upon the dangerers they are facing aswell. For those who have lost their lives in war, it is a time to pay respect to their families and understand all that they must have went through. It's a day to remember all of those who continue to lose their lives for our freedom.
My brother-in-law is currently in Afghanistan. He was deployed in September, and luckily, he gets to come home in January for 2 weeks, but after that he leaves for another 6 months. He has a very life-threatening job that requires him to go searching for IED's. We all pray for him everyday while we try to get my sister to stop worrying. We all praise him for his courage, we just pray that he comes home safely.
